Class DescriptionIdentical to SNG's Study Abroad Intensive Japanese/College Preparatory courses, the primary difference is that the students enrolling in the 3-month course must obtain a visa without assistance from SNG, and are able to enroll one 3-month term at a time. Students in the intensive course are taught Japanese in Japanese from the very beginning, studying three hours a day, five days a week, for a total of "200" classroom hours per term. Class LevelsClass levels are divided into 3-month terms, with all-around linguistic ability sufficient to pass the final exam of the previous level as a prerequisite for admission to each level. Students possessing Japanese proficiency sufficient to pass the exams for SNG's Intermediate 2 class may opt to enroll in SNG's Business Japanese or Tourism Industry Japanese classes. Likewise, once a year, from January to March, a Japanese Teacher Training class is also offered to students who wish to teach Japanese in their home country. Length of ContractWhile courses are 3 months long, it is possible to enter for only one or two months, assuming that the student enroll at the start of the term. However, all such arrangements must be approved by the vice-principal and teaching staff in advance. Tuition and other fees must be paid in full before the start of classes. Necessary Documents1. RefundsRefunds are only available in the event of evidenced refusal of entry into Japan. Application ProceduresClass space is reserved upon receipt of all fees, which must be paid in full at the time of application, to avoid confusion. Payment can be made in cash at SNG or via wire transfer. Textbook fees for those paying in person will be decided upon completion of placement testing. Other fees must be paid in advance of placement testing. Wire transfers MUST be made in the applicant's name, for the amount of 188,000 JPY (16,590 JPY textbook fee). Any overpayment will be refunded approximately one month after placement testing. *Account information for transfer purposes provided upon request.
