Training course to become a Japanese language teacher, or to brush-up existing teaching skills.

Aims of the Course
1. Teach practical immersion teaching methods.
2. Instruct how to maintain a balanced curriculum of speaking, listening, reading and writing.
3. Impart a depth of understanding of the Japanese language, necessary for effective teaching.

Main Course Contents
1. Comprehensive teaching practice through the use of the school's original teaching materials.
2. Training in drilling techniques.
3. Practice teaching how to write compositions, express oneself verbally and listen critically.
4. Practice setting up roleplays and project work.
5. Training methods for computer-related classes.
6. Acquisition of a deeper knowledge of the Japanese language.
7. Acquisition of a deeper knowledge of Japan.

Class Levels

Due to the nature of the course, admission is restricted to students whose linguistic proficiency is sufficient to pass SNG's Intermediate level 2 class and have furthermore been selected by the business class teaching staff upon completion of interview and placement testing.

Classes Schedule

10 week term, 5 days per week, 4 hours per day
(45min. classes followed by 10min. breaks)
Total: 200 classroom hours
1:30pm - 5:00pm

Length of Contract

3 months.
It is not possible to enter for shorter periods.
Tuition and other fees must be paid in full before the start of classes.

Necessary Documents

1. Application Form (available from school)
2. Personal History form (available from school)
3. 4 photos (Size 4cm x 3cm, taken within the last 6 months).
4. Copy of Passport (pages containing photo, issuing and visa information)

Fees

Registration fee: 35,000 yen (First term only)
Texts: 2,100 yen
Tuition: 165,000 yen
Total: 202,100 yen

Reservations

Class space is reserved upon receipt of all fees, which must be paid in full at the time of application, to avoid confusion. Payment must be made in cash at SNG.

Refunds

As applicants must already be in Japan, refunds are not available.
