■ 4 summer courses at SNG!

This summer, many students from Hong Kong came to SNG

SNG has been additionally preparing four short-term courses and Japan study-abroad programs from the end of June to the end of August for the students in Hong Kong every year.
The curriculum of each course is basically the same. For example, students study Japanese in the morning, go to bakery class, participate in a yukata class, visit the Edo-Tokyo Museum, the Ikebukuro disaster prevention pavilion and many other places in the afternoon as a cultural activity. The studies and cultural activities are a bit difficult, so we prepare to go to Odaiba, Disney Sea, Fujikyu Highland, etc, where we can refresh and have fun.Usually, teachers wear suits in the classrooms to teach Japanese but on special activity days, they wear casual clothing and enjoy the day.
At this time of the year, we can see and hear students and teachers smile and having lots of laughs anywhere at SNG. Therefore, the atmosphere at SNG is bright and fresh at any given time.
The students who participate in these courses often seem to obtain another visa for going abroad to study again at, and come to SNG. These summer courses are good "Trial periods" for students to plan about studying abroad in Japan, perhaps. About 100 people participated in these summer courses. We hope these times were memorable for every student.

■ Camp in Syuzen-ji!

8/26〜27, we went to Syuzen-ji in Shizuoka Prefecture to go camping.

About 50 students, staffs, and teachers went to Shuzenji, Shizuoka Prefecture, famous for "The Izu no Odoriko" to camp on the second night.

■ We are going to Shimane Prefecture Ama-cho!

Like last year, 5 students went for homestay from 8/24.

The 5 students went to Ama-cho in Shimane Prefecture. This homestay program started last year and students from Thailand mainly went there. This program is supported not only by SNG but also by the Paris office, so students from France go for the homestay in Ama-cho too. The photographs were taken at the airport before the students left.
