¡@Bicycle Rules and Safety • Road Cycling

@Letfs learn about Japanese bicycle regulations and go cycling!

@On Sunday, October 18th, 2009, staff and students participated in a cycling event which took place in Jingu Gaien. We learned about bicycle rules and regulations in Japan first, and then went cycling. Our schedule was as follows:

@Takadanobaba Station iby trainjšJingu Gaien šAoyama grave yard š Tokyo Midtown š Tokyo Tower š Zoujyou Temple š Takeshiba ilunch breakj š Shiba Parkš Akabane Park š Azabu Jyuban š Roppongi Hills š Aoyama š Jingu Gaien iendj

@We had not been to Jyozo Temple and Tokyo Tower since the 11th of April, when we last went around Tokyo. Then, we could see cherry blossoms around the city, but this time we were able to see the beautiful fall foliage instead. After the event, we went to see Tokyo Midtown and Roppongi Hills, which are fine examples of modern architecture.@And at lunch in Takeshiba, we had a splendid view of Tokyo Bay.

@Last time, when we went on the bicycle trip in May, the principal came to surprise the students, but unfortunately he wasnft able to make it this time. The weather was beautiful, however (as opposed to the May tripfs rainy day), so we really had a great time.

@Students experienced Kendo at the Totsuka police station!

@This event takes place every year at the Totsuka police station. This time, 77 people participated and quite a few police officers demonstrated sword fighting, kendo, judo, and police arrestment techniques. Here, we would like to show you how the students learned and enjoyed kendo.
