■　Spring flowers, a stroll and hiking!

　We always prepare many kind of activities for new students. This time, we went to see Sakura on 7th, got a walk in Tokyo on 11th and went to hiking at Okutama town on 29th!

＜　7th April Viewing sakura!　＞

　　sakura, sakura hanakazari ♪

　Each year, in this period, new songs about sakura are made. Following a recent internet research, people links “Sakura” with musics. This year, the first place on the raking is for “Sakura” by Moriyama Naotaro, second place is for “Sakurazaka” de Fukuyama Masaharu, and the third place is a children song “Sakura”… Hummm….I prefer Kashiwabara Yoshie’s music “Harunanoni” , but it wasn’t in the list…
　Well, this spring’s term started on 6th April and just on the day after we brought student s to see sakura at Kanda river, specially around Omokage bridge. This brigde was called Sugatami before, and in the past, a legend said that a beautifull princess called Oto had suicided because she hated her beauty. This place is around 10 minutes far from SNG’s bldg. 3.
　Also, near this place, Toden Arakawa Line’s train runs peaceably . On the itinerary, it has ancien temples, straight streets, etc. This nostalgic view took us for Tokyo’s old and beautiful times. Finally, the film “Kandagawa” (1974) was taken in this place. As SNG was founded at 1975, this place got us a n image that how was Takadanobaba at SNG foundation moment. Is this the truth Omokage bridge?

＜　11th April Walking in Tokyo　＞　

　I guess that, even living in Tokyo, many people had never been at Tokyo Tower. Me too, even living for a long time in Osaka, I’ve never been at Tsutenkaku Tower…
　Tokyo, for many people, is Imperial Palace, Tsukiji, Tokyo Tower, Katsudon, Tendon and Gyudon! On 11th April, a walk around the 3 most famous places in Tokyo was made. The weather was nice and the “little tour” took s around 5 hours.

＜　29th April Okutama’s hiking　＞

　Tokyo, big city. Who can imagine that a so beautiful place exists inside Tokyo?

　Located on the Tokyo’s west side, Okutama town has 94% of his territory composed by nature. This year again, we participated at “Okutama Health Walk” , sponsored by Okutama town.
　Done at same date last year, this is the second consecutive time that we participate in this event. In total 10 km of hiking wasn’t so hard that I was imagined and students seems got nice time. As we usually don’t walk a long distance, this event was a good opportunity to do exercises, knew other students and school’s staffs and have nice time together.
