■ Round-table talk of higher education!

An information session for students who plan on a higher education took place with guests and SNG alumni, who entered universities in last April.

”Hearing voices of experience before leaving for study abroad.”

If you are foreign student, have you heard a voice of experience before leaving for study abroad? This event, “hearing voices of experience before taking university entrance examinations”, has been held every spring with the purpose of giving students a chance to know about the way to universities.

This time, we invited some SNG alumni who passed the exam of some universities, such as Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Utsunomiya University, Tokyo Metropolitan University, Waseda University, Keio University, Senshu University, The SANNO Institute of Management Nihon University, etc. They talked about their learning methods, efforts and anxieties for future, learning plan, preparation for EJU, succeeding in an examination, university life, etc. Their speeches were good, so prospective students could understand well.
We also invited a teacher from Meiji University, School of Global Japanese Studies, as a special guest. He/She introduced us about the entire Meiji University and School of Global Japanese Studies. Incidentally, Professor Kanise, the dean of School of Global Japanese Studies, and our principal were classmates at University. What a coincidence!

After this speech from the alumni, we fielded questions about universities of interest. Some students exchanged views as a group, and some asked questions directly. Current students wanted to talk to as many alumni as possible in order to gather information. The event was scheduled for two hours, but it was extended 30 minutes to allow prospective students a good chance to get information about preparation for the exam and university life.
The 8 months from now are very important for current students. Do your best! Thank you for coming, SNG alumn,i and the teacher from Meiji University.
