Field trip report

Beginner I

On June 1, SNG teachers and beginner I students visited a disaster prevention center in Kita-ku, Tokyo.
Here, people can learn and experience how to act in times of disasters.

First they learned about earthquakes by watching video animation in Japanese.
Students then had a fire drill, practiced a fire escape and for an earthquake.
Since they studied about disaster prevention in class, these practices deepened their understanding of the subject. Everyone wishes that disasters won’t happen, but when they do, students now know how to act.

Intermediate I

On the say day, SNG teachers and Intermediate I students went to the Edo-Tokyo Open-air Architectural Museum. The museum is located in Koganei, Tokyo and it exhibits historical buildings of great cultural value.

It was such a nice day and students enjoyed going around the establishements.
It was a great opportunity for them to learn about the history of Edo period, archeology, and folklore.
