Are you living in Tokyo and looking for a Japanese evening class in Shinjuku? Do you work at a Japanese company and need to learn practical Japanese to communicate with your coworkers? Do you want to learn everyday conversational Japanese? To answer those specific needs, SNG offers you its evening class program; A selection of Japanese courses specifically designed for students to acquire the grammar and vocabulary basics needed to communicate effectively at work and in everyday life.
※ Attention: It is NOT possible for students attending evening classes to obtain a student visa!
Accessible from beginner to intermediate levels, our evening courses will allow you to gradually build to your learning goals. Our original teaching method, called the Ezoe Method, was created by the founder of the school and is used by many Japanese language schools across the world. Our evening courses are designed to equip students with concrete, lasting fundamentals of the Japanese language.
With 3 hours of class per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the evening courses provide a learning environment that leads to substantial, speedy improvement when combined with self-studying.
The Japanese taught is between the N5 and N3 JLPT levels*, focusing primarily on grammar and speaking. Students in the Beginner 1 class will have free access to the VLJ e-learning application.. This app is a supplementary study resource that students can use to review vocabulary and grammar on their own time.
The smaller-sized classes let you communicate with the teacher in a friendly atmosphere great for students studying Japanese for the first time.
*Students wishing to prepare specifically for JLPT can join the JLPT preparation course which are held on Saturdays.
The business Japanese class is dedicated to students who have passed JLPT N3 or above. In this class, you will learn useful expressions for business-related interactions. The class is composed of two sections: In the first, you will learn keigo (honorific language), business-related vocabulary and how to write business emails. The second half is all about work etiquette in Japan. It covers topics such as business card etiquette, customer reception, and learning appropriate behaviours/mannerisms to communicate respectfully with your co-workers. The class is designed to help you succeed and grow within the Japanese workplace.
Our school is located in the heart of Tokyo in Takadanobaba, Shinjuku, just a 5-minute walk from Takadanobaba station.
