Toyako International Exchange Homestay (Hokkaido) now accepting applications!


The Hokkaido summer homestay programs are still accepting applicants!

This program’s destination is Toyako, a famous sightseeing town in Hokkaido. The town is also famous for the G8 Summit conference that was held in 2008. A warm region full of nature, Toyako is included in the top 100 scenic places in Japan. Surrounded by this bountiful nature, you will create lasting memories with a Japanese family on this homestay. The program information is listed below.

・ cultural exchange with a Japanese family
・ cruise on Lake Toya
・ corn-harvesting
・ cultural exchange with local elementary students
・ koto experience
・ park golf
・ bear park visit, etc.

Other than the scheduled activities, you can fully enjoy the plentiful nature and food of Hokkaido in your free time. It’s the perfect chance to interact with a Japanese family, so please participate!

Schedule: Aug. 27, 2011 (Sat) – Sept. 4, 2011 (Sun)
Participants: 5 (first-come, first-served)
Fee: 50,000JPY (includes airfare and insurance)
Not included in the fee: transportation fare to the meeting place (Haneda Airport), personal expenses, farewell party cost

How to Apply
Conditions: Must be at least Beginner II level with an attendance rate of 80% or higher. Must be able to follow the directions of the Hokkaido staff, actively participate, and be a good representative for the school.

This is not a sightseeing program.
If you are interested in participating, please come to the office in Building 1 as soon as possible.
