Denmark Short Course

This year, the Denmark Short Course took place again! 23 students came from Denmark to learn Japanese. The course schedule was as follows: Course 1: January, 9th〜February, 2nd, Course 2: February 10th〜March, 7th.

On the final day, as a culmination of their studies in Japanese, 10 students gave speeches and performed calligraphy.
The speeches included introductions such as their names, birthdays, likes and dislikes, hobbies, and family. Since the level is beginner, the speeches were short but very heartwarming and cute. Now, let me introduce the speeches and calligraphy performances of some of the students.

Alison:

“I’m from Svendborg, Denmark. Please call me Ali. My birthday is march 20th. I am 21 years old. Svendborg is a small place, but it’s a nice place. My favorite food is sushi. My hobby is singing. I also perform in musicals. Last week, I went to karaoke in Shinjuku. There, I drank Calpis soda. It was a lot of fun. Cheers!”

Miguel:

“I’m from Amaka, Denmark. My favorite food is curry rice. My least favorite food is takoyaki. My favorite sport is badminton. Last week, I had pizza and beer. I went to the sea. I have two older brothers. I used to be a professional gamer.”

Shin:

“I’m from Copenhagen, Denmark. My favorite thing is ramen. My least favorite thing is takoyaki. Sorry about that. Yesterday, I went to Yokohama. I ate ramen. It was delicious. Nice to meet you.”
