In Japanese, there are words called “yojijukugo,” which are idiomatic expressions composed of four kanji characters. These phrases reflect the unique expressiveness and culture of the Japanese language, making them an attractive element for learners.
This year, advanced students at Shinjuku Japanese Language School created enjoyable slide presentations to help others learn yojijukugo. These presentations not only clearly explain the meanings and usages of each yojijukugo but also include translations and relevant photos taken by the students themselves, enhancing understanding.
We invite everyone to view these works and fully appreciate the world of yojijukugo from the perspective of international students!
