Advanced Japanese Course

This level aims at being able to communicate with Japanese people with no difficulty.

Advanced Japanese Course

Aimed at students who can use Japanese with almost no difficulty in daily life, this level uses teaching materials that cover all the genres of Japanese, such as novels, critics, newspapers articles about economics or politics, or historical and modern documentaries. In order to foster students’ autonomy, they will have to create projects such as a radio drama or a TV show to learn to use Japanese in any type of situation. The advanced level is divided into two courses according to the student's projects after graduation.

General Course

Advanced 1

Target level: N2 (JLPT)/B2 (CEFR) Study time at home (standard): 1 to 2 hours/day

Read and understand the main points of texts including newspapers.
Listen and understand news that are not too complex.
Be able to talk about familiar social problems.
Be able to write memos and make sentences from them.

General Course

Advanced 2

Target Level: N2~1 (JLPT)/B2~C1 (CEFR) Study time at home (standard): 1 to 2 hours/day

Equivalent to a Japanese high school graduate. Ability to understand information from newspapers, the radio, TV etc, and to tell your own thoughts about these information.
Ability to take classes at a vocational school or university.

General Course

Advanced 3

Target level: N1(JLPT)/C1(CEFR) Study time at home (standard): 1 to 2 hours/day

Be able to properly understand what an ordinary Japanese adult would read.
Capacity to write what you want to convey and express, with a writing style, vocabulary, and format that are consistent with your purpose.
Understand approximately a natural conversation between Japanese people. Tell your opinion using the honorific language appropriately.
Understand the content of courses at approximately the same level as Japanese students for those who choose to attend a graduate school, undergraduate school or vocational school.

Intensive Course

Intensive Advanced 1

Target level: N2(JLPT)/B2(CEFR) Study time at home (standard): 1 to 2 hours/day

Understand the main points of texts including newspapers.
Listen to and understand news that are not too complex.
Talk about familiar social problems.
Write memos and make sentences from them.
Be able to understand a daily conversation when spoken standardly and clearly, and understand the main points even when encountering unknown words.

Target level: N2~1 (JLPT)/B2~C1(CEFR) Study time at home (recommended): 1 to 2 hours/day

Understand Japanese at a level used during class at undergraduate and graduate school.
Be able to use Japanese at the level of a Japanese high school graduate.

Intensive Course

Intensive Advanced 3

Target level: N1(JLPT)/C1(CEFR) Study time at home (recommended): 1 to 2 hours/day

Understand lectures at undergraduate or graduate school.
Speak Japanese at approximately the same level as a Japanese university student.
