Yukata Day, an event organized for several years by the Shinjuku Japanese Language Institute, has allowed everyone to wear yukata, traditional Japanese garments that symbolize summer in Japan. For this special day, SNG invited all its students and staff to immerse themselves in Japanese culture.

The yukata is a lightweight garment often worn during summer festivals in Japan. Unlike the kimono, which is more formal and often more challenging to wear, the yukata is a more casual yet equally elegant outfit made of cotton and decorated with floral, geometric, or nature-inspired patterns.
After the yukata sale organized by SNG, the teachers assisted the students in putting on their yukata. The atmosphere in the school was friendly and colorful, with yukata in various shades of blue, pink, red, and purple.

This day represented an opportunity to experience something different and discover the beauty of Japanese culture. Moreover, simply wearing a yukata in class created a unique ambiance.

Join us for our next Yukata Day and experience the joy of wearing a yukata while making unforgettable memories with fellow students. Sign up now and be part of this exciting celebration!
