Project of advanced 3 class

This time, the project theme of advanced 3 class was “This is the city we study in”. The concept is to find out interesting places in Takadanobaba and introduce them to family and friends in their home country.
Students divided into small groups and did a research on Takadanobaba. They also went out into the city and did interviews to antiquarian bookstore manager or asked a chef at ramen shop about how the innovative ramen was created. It was a great experience to communicate with local people in Takadanobaba. They also found out that there was a museum where anyone can visit for free.
Students prepared PowerPoint slides and posters and practiced for the presentation. On the day of the presentation, people from Shinjuku Convention & Visitors Bureau and newspaper publisher came to SNG as guests to listen to students’ presentations. We were a bit nervous, but we had a great fun doing this project. Now we like our city even more after the project.
